Dear Friends & Loved Ones

This morning it was suggested by someone on the TV or radio to get in touch with the ones you love and let them know you’re thinking about them. I know that this may seem a little hokey, it being the anniversary of 9/11/2001, but  it’s a good day to remember. My friends and family are so diverse in their beliefs, religion, vocation and race that it emphasizes to me, the freedom we take for granted every day. We are so blessed to live in America.

To those who have served in our Armed Forces, I salute you. In honor of those who have loved ones that have sacrificed their lives to keep our country free, I bow reverently and thank them. I am thankful to have been born in a family that believes in God. My entire being is based on the principals and teachings of the Holy Bible. Thanks be to the ones who have been faithful to teach me.

I am blessed to have been fortunate enough to meet my wife. She is my soul mate. She has blessed us with two of the most wonderful daughters a man could ever ask for. Thank you Dear for your kindness love and most of all, faithfulness to me and our children. I once heard Dr. Phil, the guy on Oprah, ask a person to reflect on their lives and think of five pivotal people and how they influenced them. When I tried to do this I couldn’t stop at five. He also said that they may have been good or bad influences. Not a single bad one comes to my mind. Maybe I am just a cockeyed optimist but I don’t really think so. However, with fear of upsetting some of the people I love the most I want to recognize those five people.

My Mother: with out her I would not be writing this letter today. There has never been one moment in my life that the presence of her love has escaped me. She is so sweet and kind.

My Grand Parents: Especially Big Mama. The just loved me. They taught me the value of hard labor.

My Dad: He taught me to be truthful, fair, and honest. He also started me in my vocation.

My Wife: My soul mate. My companion. My bride and my “Main Squeeze”. The mother of  our children.

Calvin: without a doubt his presence in my life has been most positively influential. I am fortunate that our lives paths have come together.

I know my brothers, sister in law, and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends love me and I am so thankful for them. I love you all too. Thank you for being a friend.

Love You All,
